What are 'brothers' as a job title?

In a religious context, 'brother' refers to a male member of a Christian religious order who is not ordained as a priest. Brothers dedicate their lives to serving their faith community through prayer, education, social work, or other ministries. They often live in a community, follow a specific rule of life, and take vows such as poverty, chastity, and obedience. Unlike priests, brothers do not perform sacramental duties, but they play an important role in supporting the mission of their religious community.
