Sales Support Representative

Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company (GTL) is currently seeking a Sales Support Representative to join our team!

This position is required to work on-site in our Chicagoland (Glenview, IL) office most days. Everyone receives 3 flexible remote days per month and 6 additional Friday PTO days each year! And we offer half-day Fridays every Friday!

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a service-oriented environment today but is eager to evolve into a sales career path in the future. You'll be part of a dynamic team that supports our agents by responding to inbound telephone, email, and chat inquiries, while gaining valuable exposure to sales processes, product knowledge, and relationship management. This position serves as an intermediary between agents and the insurance companyhelping with onboarding, quoting, and servicing insurance products. Along the way, you'll develop the skills and insights that prepare you to transition into a client-facing sales role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing exceptional service and support (via phone, chat, and email)
  • Help onboard new agents by processing contracting paperwork
  • Provide ongoing day-to-day assistance to agents using various systems, products and procedures
  • Meet daily performance standards
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in customer service, insurance, agency or brokerage
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • College degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
  • Has an interest in pursuing a career in sales, business development, or account management
  • Experience in a call center environment
  • Previous sales experience
  • Understanding customer objections and how to resolve customer issues
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with customers
  • Coordinating cross-functional work with other departments (i.e. Marketing, Commissions, or New Business departments)
