The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Broadcast Operations, the Global Traffic Coordinator is responsible for the accurate management of commercial, paid programming, and sponsorship materials within the broadcast traffic operation. This role serves as the primary liaison between Sales, agencies, media vendors, and Traffic to ensure all copy instructions, commercial assets, and sponsorship materials are received, validated, and entered accurately for on-air execution and billing.



The Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, validate, and input commercial, paid programming, and sponsorship copy instructions into the traffic management system, ensuring complete accuracy for on-air execution and revenue integrity.
  • Maintain all commercial, paid programming, sponsorship, and material records within the traffic management system.
  • Review commercial spots and associated materials for technical, regulatory, and network compliance requirements prior to air.
  • Coordinate with Sales teams, advertising agencies, media vendors, and content delivery providers to ensure all commercial spots and copy instructions are received in advance of scheduled air dates.
  • Track missing materials and proactively follow up with stakeholders to resolve issues that could impact air readiness.
  • Manage quarterly material purge processes and maintain accurate material inventories and archives.
  • Troubleshoot copy and material discrepancies and work with internal and external partners to resolve issues quickly and limit impact on ad sales revenue.
  • Ensure all commercial assets are properly linked to corresponding orders, contracts, and scheduling instructions.
  • Support sponsorship and paid programming fulfillment by ensuring all required materials and instructions are available and accurately entered into the traffic management system.
  • Maintain accurate documentation supporting billing corrections and revenue reconciliation activities.
  • Support promotional scheduling by coordinating and scheduling on-air promotional campaigns, tune-in spots, and marketing elements to ensure accurate execution and alignment with programming priorities.
  • Support commercial log editing by scheduling advertisements, promotional, sponsorship, and secondary event elements within the traffic management system to maximize inventory utilization, revenue opportunities, and accurate on-air placement as needed.
  • Generate and maintain daily broadcast logs, monitor system integrations and schedule synchronization, implement log revisions and last-minute changes, and collaborate with Sales to resolve scheduling, makegood, and commercial placement issues as needed.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, ad hoc reporting, and special projects to support the ongoing needs of the Global Channels team as needed.



The Essentials

  • 2+ years of experience in broadcast traffic, media operations, or advertising operations.
  • Experience working with traffic management systems and commercial scheduling platforms, such as WideOrbit, SIMS, VCI, Syntec, or similar systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced broadcast environment.


The pay rate for this position is between $28.84/hour- $31.25/hour ($60,000-$65,000/annually), exclusive of any bonuses or other incentive compensation (if any).
