Job Summary

BriskHeat is searching for a hands-on individual to join our Application Engineering group. The primary role is to provide on-site technical assistance to customers in the semiconductor wafer manufacturing industry. Ideal candidates may have electrical, HVAC, pipe fitting, equipment servicing, and/or insulating experience. The role is required to be onsite at the customer facility during normal business hours Monday-Friday. The role will require project management, pre-design inspections and measurements, pre-installation planning and preparation, post-installation commissioning of solutions and on-going preventive maintenance and review as outlined in customer’s contract.

Job DescriptionDuties and responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities at customer site involving heating systems for the semiconductor wafer manufacturing applications
  • Measuring and drawing piping as seen in field per BriskHeat Engineering Standards
  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting BriskHeat heating systems
  • Schedule field service calls and arrange travel plans to meet the company’s and customer’s objectives
  • Install, commission, and verify performance of BriskHeat products and solutions at the customer’s site
  • Troubleshoot existing equipment to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction
  • Provide customer onsite training and support
  • Perform preventative maintenance on systems per the service agreement
  • Provide feedback to the BriskHeat engineering and sales management regarding actions taken on each customer visit to ensure quality assurance and improvement initiatives are being met
  • Assist with new bid installation, drawing, and measurement project reviews
  • Assist sales and application engineering with approval process or revisions as needed
  • Coordinate inventory and orders for spare parts and products with BriskHeat sales coordinators as needed
  • Provide RMA or Customer Feedback reports for issues found in the field
  • Maintain clean and safe environments for BriskHeat associate, customers, and other contractors when on-site
  • Follow and maintain all safety and documentation requirements when on customer’s sites
  • Training will be provided to ensure success of the new team member

Needed experience & technical knowledge:
  • A High School Diploma required
  • Associate degree in science or construction related field desired
  • Two or more years of experience in a field service role is desired
  • Semiconductor Fab and Clean room experience a plus
  • Experience related to electrical heating products and temperature controllers is a plus
  • Must be a self-starter and can be effective with little or no supervision
  • Experience with measurement tools and small hand/power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics
  • Strong ability to utilize Word, Excel, and other PC tools
  • Familiarity with quality and technical testing tools such as digital multimeters, temperature measuring devices, etc.
  • Excellent and demonstrable verbal and written communications in English
    • Spanish language experience is a plus
  • Comfort with working directly with a variety of customers and industries
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 50 pounds, climbing narrow stairs/ladders or working in tight spaces during some technical work such as measuring gas piping systems and other customer structures
  • Comfortable working with equipment powered by high-voltage and following onsite safety protocols
