Overview

Cleary Gottlieb is a pioneer in globalizing the legal profession. This position reports to the E-Billing Manager and assists in all phases of client billing, including submission, follow-up and communication with clients, coordinators and partners related to electronically billed invoices. This is a detail-oriented position with an emphasis on technical tasks, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for submission and coordination of client invoice/e-bills to client and third-party eBilling vendor websites utilizing eBilling templates and other software tools.
  • Detailed review and submission of timekeepers and hourly billing rates in client's eBilling vendor systems and maintain internal timekeeper listing for relevant finance teams reference.
  • Regularly monitor and track e-bills status and follow up with appropriate teams to ensure successful processing and timely payment to the firm.
  • Assist with the configuration mappings within BillBlast.
  • Review e-bills for compliance with client/vendor terms, including the processing of corrections as needed to minimize delays in uploading or rejection of the client invoices/e-bills.
  • In coordination with the Global Pricing Operations team, analyze and submit timekeepers and rates for client approval, e.g., rate increases and matriculation.
  • Detailed review of client guidelines to upload the cost constraints into the accounting system
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of relevant corporate experience and client relationship experience at a professional services or law firm.
  • Proficiency in eBilling platforms including Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Tymetrix360, CounselGo, Collaborati, BillingPoint, Brightflag, and Collaboration Portal is required. 
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, If function, etc.).
  • Detail oriented and organzed with excellent writing and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision.
  • Fllexiblity to work evenings to meet deadlines and deliverables. 
  • Experience with Aderant is a plus

The estimated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, and performance. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
