Shipping & Logistics CoordinatorJob Summary

BLUSA Defense Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to oversee the efficient movement of materials and finished goods within our manufacturing and distribution operations. This position is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, preparing shipping documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting on-time delivery to customers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, effectively manages multiple priorities, and communicates professionally with internal teams, customers, and external logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage daily shipping and logistics activities to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including pro forma invoices, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other required export/import documentation.
  • Schedule shipments with freight carriers and monitor deliveries to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with internal departments, freight forwarders, carriers, and customers to resolve shipping, transportation, and logistics issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and ensure documentation is complete and compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations).
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality, and customer service teams to support efficient material flow and shipment readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping and logistics processes while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
  • Utilize ERP systems, including Global Shop Solutions (preferred), to process orders, manage shipments, and maintain inventory records.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel, to manage communications, reports, and documentation.
  • Perform other shipping, logistics, and inventory-related duties as assigned.
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience preparing pro forma invoices, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
  • Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in defense or aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience using Global Shop Solutions or a similar ERP system is preferred.
