Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician B

Briggs & Stratton - Power Group

As a Manufacturing Technician B your goal is to use your technical expertise, to be the go-to person for troubleshooting and repairing  production equipment in your area. You'll also be responsible for setting up various production machines to ensure top-notch quality products are manufactured.

You will do this by:

  • Maintaining mechanical, electrical and hydraulics systems for a variety of equipment

  • Perform various operations to alter and repair tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges and guarding

  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment; performs preventative maintenance

  • Responsible for statistical process charting, interpretation, and trend-analysis in order to perform process or equipment adjustments to bring parts into specification

  • Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education:  High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Minimum of 1.5 years’ relevant working experience to include; Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic skills

Position Description

Uses technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment. Performs duties associated with the setup of a variety of production equipment to produce quality products.
