What is a metal shop assistant?

Metal Shop Assistants are support professionals who help with the daily operations of metalworking shops. They assist skilled tradespeople by preparing materials, operating basic machinery, cleaning work areas, and performing maintenance on equipment. Their role is crucial for keeping the shop organized and ensuring that projects run smoothly and safely. Metal Shop Assistants may also be responsible for inventory management and following safety protocols.
