Job description

Summertown Metals is looking for a motivated leader to work in our Metal Shop in our Morristown location. This is a full time position which includes benefits such as medical, dental, vison, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, life, 401K with a company match, PTO and vacation time.
  • Changing coils, moving finished packs to racks, and staging them properly
  • Unloading coil trucks and documenting any damage and verifying the delivery matches the bill of lading.
  • Communicating with department lead on what needs to be done and when it needs to be done on roll former 1.
  • Loading coils to roll former in a timely manner.
  • Assist wrapping/banding of packs in a clean, professional manner and labeling packs before moving them to racks.
  • Keeping a clean and organized work area.
  • Help ensure a safe work environment and keep an eye out for potential hazards.
  • Float around and assist were needed when needed, report to shop leader when all task are complete for further instructions
