Job description

Job Title: Bridge Project Manager (Civil / Structural Engineering)Location: Indianapolis, Indiana (with flexibility across multiple Indiana offices)
About the Role

We are seeking a Bridge Project Manager to join a growing engineering team focused on delivering bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects across Indiana.

This role will work closely with a collaborative bridge team to support state and local infrastructure projects, managing both technical and client-facing responsibilities. The position offers strong exposure to transportation infrastructure and opportunities to lead projects from planning through execution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of project scope, schedules, and budgets for bridge projects
  • Lead and coordinate bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects of varying size and complexity
  • Review and approve design calculations, engineering plans, and construction documents
  • Perform and oversee bridge inspections, providing recommendations for repair or replacement
  • Collaborate with internal teams, sub-consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and quality standards
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and CAD designers
  • Assist in preparing proposals and technical submissions for public-sector projects
  • Engage with clients to understand project needs and provide engineering recommendations

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in bridge engineering or transportation infrastructure
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana OR ability to obtain within a short timeframe
  • Experience with:
    • Bridge design, inspection, or rehabilitation
    • Structural analysis and design calculations
  • Working knowledge of:
    • AutoCAD / Civil 3D
    • Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills
