Structures/Bridge Engineer
Department: Transportation
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Reporting To: Jared Olsen
Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 / year
Description

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
  • Design, evaluate, and analyze highway/railroad/pedestrian bridges/other transportation structures
  • Prepare designs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and specifications
  • Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies and state DOTs
  • Perform or check bridge designs using CSi Bridge, MIDAS, VBent, PG Super, LEAP, BRASS, Mathcad, and/or other bridge software
  • Design or check retaining wall and other structural components in support of roadway or site civil projects
  • Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • Registered PE license
  • 4 to 8 years of experience
  • Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required--<20%
  • Experience working in bridge design teams a plus
  • Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plus
  • Solid understanding of transportation projects
