Position Description
Position Title: Boys' Athletic Director
Area of Assignment: St. Brendan Parish Gymnasium
FLSA Status: Part-time, non-exempt
Reports to: Pastor of St. Brendan Church
Hours of Work: Based on Boys' CYO Sports program schedule- limit 767 hours per year or approximately 18 hours per week
Responsibilities - include but not limited to:
The St. Brendan athletic program is run by two athletic directors. This position will be assigned to manage the boys' season, which includes five CYO sports a year. The CYO Boys' Program is involved in two Fall CYO sports, 1 Winter Sports and Two Spring Sports. ( Fall: Cross Country, Soccer. Winter -Basketball. Spring Volleyball and Track & Field). There is a Track and Field with PPSL, "Peninsula Parochial Sports League", enhanced offering.
As Boys' Athletic Director, your program responsibilities include the following:
Make certain that all students are given fair and equal opportunity for sports participationServe as contact person for the relationship between leagues and St. Brendan School. This includes preparation of all paperwork and billing for league participation.Coordinate all teams, coaches, and practice times for each sport and places teams in tournament play, if there is an available slot.Distribute and maintain all uniforms and sports equipment for each season. Purchase new equipment / uniforms as needed.Communicate all pertinent sports information to parents (games, practice schedules, league rules, etc.); discuss issues at parents' club meetingsResolve issues with coaches, parents, officials, and other schools. Resolve issue with CYO and other league administrators, keeping the pastor informed on a timely basis of all incidents
