Job description

Wellness Studio Community Specialist
(Sales & Member Experience)
MindFuel Method

Join the team at Pittsburgh’s first Contrast Therapy + Breathwork studio, where community, growth, and vitality are at the heart of everything we do.

Overview

As a Community Specialist, you’re the first face guests see and the energy they remember. We’re seeking outgoing, reliable, emotionally intelligent leaders who are people-first and want to make a positive impact on their community.

You don’t just sit at the desk — you circulate: greeting guests, restocking, cleaning, organizing, and actively setting the vibe so the studio runs smoothly.

If you thrive in a team-first environment, love meaningful connection, and believe wellness should feel good and do good, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do
  • Welcome every guest with warmth, presence, and professionalism, setting the tone for their experience from the moment they walk through the door.
  • Manage bookings, memberships, and transactions using our client management software (training provided).
  • Respond quickly and thoughtfully to inquiries via phone, email, and text, maintaining clear and kind communication at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and calming environment, resetting the studio between sessions and handling opening/closing duties with care.
  • Support class transitions by assisting Guides, helping guests move smoothly between sauna and cold plunge, and ensuring safety protocols are upheld.
  • Build genuine relationships with members by learning names, remembering details, and showing up consistently with empathy and enthusiasm.
  • Confidently guide guests through membership and retail options, helping them find what best supports their wellness journey.
  • Notice and respond to studio needs proactively, staying one step ahead to keep things flowing behind the scenes.
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure every guest feels supported — jumping in wherever needed with a can-do mindset.
  • Provide feedback to leadership about guest needs, studio improvements, or operational updates — your insight helps us grow.
  • Gain cross-training in our contrast therapy space, with the opportunity to support and eventually run Open Flow sessions — holding space in the sauna and cold plunge environment while guiding guests through a safe, grounded, and embodied wellness experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand, walk, and move around the studio for up to 8 hours.
  • Comfortable lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 25 lbs (e.g., laundry baskets, dehumidifiers, yoga mats, supply boxes etc).
  • Capable of bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching overhead as part of regular cleaning and reset duties.
  • Must be comfortable working in environments with large temperature variations, including high heat (sauna) and cold, wet conditions (plunge), as cross-training may include supporting or leading Open Flow experiences in the contrast therapy space.
  • Comfortable with active cleaning duties and occasional fast-paced transitions during busy class hours.
Who You Are
  • Aligned with MindFuel’s values: Growth, Vitality, and Community.
  • Genuinely people-focused, showing empathy, kindness, and patience in every interaction.
  • Self-motivated and growth-oriented, with a personal commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Outgoing, friendly, and emotionally intelligent — with a natural ability to connect with others.
  • Reliable and punctual, with strong organizational skills and a team-first mentality.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment: communicates clearly, multitasks with ease, and adapts quickly.
  • Comfortable using technology; experience with Mariana Tek or similar client software is a plus.
  • Previous customer service or front desk experience required; fitness, wellness, or sales background strongly preferred.
Schedule Expectations

Available to work at least 2–3 shifts per week, with flexibility to pick up additional shift opportunities to support the team and community.

Benefits
  • Starting at $16/hour with opportunities for growth based on performance and responsibilities.
  • Complimentary unlimited standby membership (valued at $299/month) — enjoy full access to sauna, cold plunge, and breathwork sessions when space is available.
  • Growth opportunities, including direct collaboration with MindFuel’s Founders and General Manager.
  • Fun, inclusive team events that foster connection, celebration, and community.
  • The chance to be part of a purpose-driven small business with big vision and heart.

Ready to bring your energy, reliability, and people-first mindset to our team?
