Job Summary:
Waits on Bar guests, obtains drink and/or food order and serves.  Gives drink orders to bartender.  Responsibilities include cleaning and restocking.
 
Responsibilities:
- Promptly greet guests at tables, offer food menu, and inform them of the drink specials.
- Obtain the order and give to the kitchen for food preparation or bartender to mix drink, deliver order.
- Return to table periodically to make sure all needs are met, offer dessert.
- Present the check.  When payment is offered return change and receipt to guest.
- Remove dirty dishes and linen as needed.
- Reset tables with clean china, linen, silver, glassware, utensils, condiments, and paper.
- Basic knowledge of menu prices and composition.
- Requires familiarity of daily specials.
- Monitor snacks at tables.
- Empty, clean and refill items as your side work duties describe.
- Maintain a clean uniform and person.
- Certified in Serving Alcohol with Care or similar program.
- Successfully complete training of required OSHA programs.
- Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures.
- All duties must be carried out in a safe manner.
- Be flexible and adaptable to the changes that will occur to your job
- Employee must treat everyone with dignity and respect.
- Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status,    customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
 
Qualifications:
  • Highly organized.
  • Must be able to work the majority of the shift in a standing position, constantly moving, and able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Strong Guest Service Skills
  • Must have attention to detail and be customer service oriented.
  • Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers.
