Job description

Position Title: Packaging Associate

Type of Position: Hourly, 40 hours/week

Job Description:

As a Packaging Associate at Micheleโ€™s Granola, you are a key member of our Packaging Team. The primary role of each Packaging Team Member is to properly fill, label and seal bags of granola, pack and stock cases, control quality and inventory, and perform closing cleaning duties.

As part of our small-batch granola production line, you have clearly defined tasks to complete during the daily packaging shift. The position involves standing for extended periods of time, repetitive motion, moving at a steady pace, and lifting up to 50lbs.


Schedule:

Production runs Monday through Saturday. Team members work five days per week with two scheduled days off. Some roles follow a Monday through Friday schedule, while others include a Saturday shift with a weekday off.

Responsibilities of all Packaging Team Members include:

  1. Following established food handling and packaging procedures
  2. Upholding our high-quality assurance, food handling safety and sanitation standards
  3. Cleaning duties including, but not limited to, dish washing, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
  4. Other duties as assigned, e.g. assisting the Production Team, facility maintenance, Sales Team support

Basic Expectations of the Packaging Associate include:

  1. 2+ years of industry experience.
  2. Outstanding food handling and packaging skills, including accuracy, time management, organization, reliability and enthusiasm in the kitchen
  3. Clear, consistent and respectful communications with all Packaging Team Members and Supervisors
  4. Meeting all company guidelines with regards to:
    1. Attendance, Punctuality and Break Times
    2. Uniform, Hygiene and Sanitation
    3. Job Knowledge and Individual Work Performance, including
      1. Organization and Time management
  1. Quality and Consistency of work
