This role is conducted in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while still providing essential mental health services. Counselors will have access to modern tools, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, to streamline documentation and client management, ensuring a focus on provision of high-quality care.

• Conduct thorough assessments during initial client sessions to establish their mental health status and identify key areas for therapeutic intervention.
• Design individualized treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and measurable goals.
• Engage in regular follow-up sessions with clients to monitor progress, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide clients with coping strategies, resources, and referrals as needed, collaborating with other healthcare providers such as psychiatrists and social workers when appropriate.
• Document all sessions and treatment plans accurately within the EHR system, maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Your expertise will serve a diverse clientele facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders. This role requires not only a deep understanding of various mental health disorders but also a commitment to culturally responsive practice that considers the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of four years of related experience in mental health counseling.
• A strong grasp of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and cultural competence in providing therapy.
• Proficient in delivering both individual and group therapy, utilizing inclusive and effective therapeutic techniques.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and an ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.

While a minimum of four years of experience is required, candidates with a broader range of clinical experience, particularly in outpatient settings, will be considered favorably. Experience in specialized areas such as trauma-informed care or dual diagnosis will enhance your application.
