Brand Management Internships are short-term work experiences where students or recent graduates assist companies in developing, promoting, and maintaining their brands. Interns typically work alongside marketing and branding teams to conduct market research, analyze consumer trends, help execute marketing campaigns, and support brand strategy initiatives. These internships provide hands-on experience in understanding how brands are positioned in the market, how campaigns are launched, and what goes into building brand loyalty. They are ideal for those interested in marketing, advertising, or business development careers.

What types of projects and responsibilities can I expect during a brand management internship?

As a Brand Management Intern, you can expect to work on a variety of projects that support the development and execution of marketing strategies for a brand. This often includes conducting market research, analyzing consumer trends, assisting with campaign planning, and helping to coordinate product launches or promotional events. You'll likely collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, and product development, gaining hands-on experience in both strategic planning and day-to-day brand operations. This exposure is valuable for building foundational skills and understanding the broader landscape of brand management.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a brand management intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Brand Management Intern, you need a foundational understanding of marketing principles, strong analytical skills, and often a background in business or marketing studies. Job description

Social Media Marketing Internship

Company: Sigma Commercial LLC

Location: Milwaukee, WI (East Side office) - in person

Duration: 3-month internship

Pay: $16.00/hour

Schedule: 40 hours/week

About Us

Sigma Commercial LLC is a Milwaukee-based holding company overseeing a portfolio of local businesses, including Property Prep LLC (commercial maintenance and janitorial) and LaBonte Construction LLC (luxury residential remodeling). We build, maintain, and manage real estate across the Milwaukee metro area, and we've built out a solid library of video and podcast content - we just haven't done a good job getting it in front of people on social media. That's where you come in.

About the Role

We're looking for a self-directed intern to own social media strategy and execution across Property Prep LLC, LaBonte Construction LLC, and CEO Jeffrey L Koenig's personal brand. You'll build a real content plan, not just post on a whim, and you'll have a video and audio production team available to help you turn ideas into finished assets.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll be the one deciding what gets posted, when, and why, then reporting on what worked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a social media content plan for Property Prep LLC, LaBonte Construction LLC, and Jeffrey L Koenig's personal brand
  • Manage and grow presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and web/website content
  • Repurpose existing assets from our three YouTube channels and podcast into platformnative social content (clips, quote graphics, carousels, reels, etc.)
  • Collaborate directly with our inhouse video and audio team to scope and request new assets as needed
  • Maintain a consistent posting calendar across all three brands and four platforms
  • Track basic performance metrics (engagement, follower growth, reach) and adjust the plan based on what's working
  • Keep brand voice and messaging distinct and appropriate across Property Prep, LaBonte Construction, and Jeffrey's personal brand
  • What We're Looking For
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field
  • Genuine familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn from a business/brand management perspective, not just personal use
  • Basic content editing skills (video clipping, graphic design tools like Canva) you don't need to be a video editor, since our production team handles heavier lifts
  • Strong writing skills and an eye for what makes content stop the scroll
  • Selfstarter who can manage multiple brand voices and platforms without constant oversight
  • Comfortable proposing a plan and defending it, not just waiting for direction
  • What You'll Gain
  • Real ownership over three distinct brand presences, not busywork
  • Direct collaboration with a professional video/audio production team
  • Portfolioready work: campaigns, growth metrics, and content you can point to after the internship ends
  • Exposure to how a multibrand company thinks about marketing across construction, property management, and personal branding
