Job description

Purpose of Position:

We seek a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of layout and typography, as well as user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles and will be responsible for designing user-friendly, visually appealing digital experiences that align with the Amalgamated Bank brand. The ideal candidate is motivated to elevate creative work, values modern, clean design, collaborates well across teams, and can clearly and concisely present ideas.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and user needs
  2. Work from agreed upon creative briefs with other colleagues
  3. Design and develop templates, conceptual mockups and website layouts
  4. Create engaging digital graphics, animations, and video content optimized for social media platforms, ensuring strong visual storytelling and alignment with brand standards.
  5. Design visually engaging, responsive email templates and campaigns that align with brand standards and optimize user experience across devices.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design
  2. 2-4 years proven work experience as a digital designer
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, working well in both a team environment and independently.
  4. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud design applications (with emphasis on Final Cut Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, Express)
  5. Knowledge of HTML or CSS preferred

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $70,000 – $80,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hybrid Work Model
