Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Shop Mechanic position supports the branch, and client, in all maintenance and repair of industrial equipment needs. This position ensures that all rental equipment maintenance and repair needs of the branch is conducted in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. This role provides a great opportunity to learn and grow within our service department and beyond. PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Performs maintenance and repairs of all rental equipment
  • Inspects and tests all equipment to ensure safe operation prior to customer delivery
  • Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment maintenance and repair
  • Trouble shoot all rental equipment for most efficient way to get equipment back online
  • Produce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
  • Communicates with the team for ordering and stocking of needed parts, equipment, and accessories
  • Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 2 years' experience as a Mechanic is required (Rental equipment experience a plus!)
  • Must be mechanically inclined with mechanical background and knowledge of various motors and engines.
  • Must be able to work independently, and in a team environment, to prioritize and accomplish assigned projects
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.
