Anderson Equipment Company is one of the largest heavy equipment distribution companies in the Northeast. It is a family-owned, private company that has consistently grown and achieved financial success for almost 90 years. Currently in its third generation of family ownership and management, the company spans six states – West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine with 19 branch locations.

Job Description Summary: 

The Branch Manager is responsible for managing all operations within the branch in a profitable, safe, professional manner. Managers will also be responsible for driving to job and customer sites to meet with potential buyers and customers.

Sales and Rental: 

The Branch Manager supervises and coaches the Sales Representatives assigned to the branch and geographic territories. Sales Representative must grow territory to achieve annual sales revenue and market share targets by understanding customer needs, identifying sales opportunities, and developing customized equipment and financial solutions.

Service and Parts:   

Branch Manager works closely with Service and Parts Managers to coordinate Anderson’s response to customer needs and equipment issues.

Financial Results: 

Branch Manager is ultimately responsible for revenue and gross margin growth, and profitable operations.   Anderson Corporate functions (HR, Sales Support, Credit) will support Branch Manager to facilitate achievement of results.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree with finance, marketing, business concentration.
  • 7 + years of work experience in Heavy Equipment, Auto, or related industry.
  • 7+ years of work experience with P&L responsibility and achievement of profitable results.
  • Proven success in managing sales teams.
  • Work experience that demonstrates ability to growth revenue and market share.
  • Excellent customer service and presentation skills with focus on dependable follow-up and responsiveness.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical machine repair/service experience a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and financial creativity.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation Range depends on Manager’s ability to achieve profit and bonus targets: $80,000-$150,000.
  • Compensation consists of salary and bonuses based on achieving annual targets.
