What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities is seeking a Branch Operations Manager. You'll be the operational backbone of the branch, providing strategic and administrative leadership to the Branch Management Team and Advisor teams. The role ensures daily branch operational and regulatory compliance while overseeing HR administration, client account processing, internal controls execution, technology support, and cross-functional coordination while maintaining separation of duties and audit-ready documentation standards.

What will you do?

  • Manage administrative operations and internal control requirements of the branch - Approval of incoming and outgoing daily transactions, technology support, documentation verification and account openings approvals, etc.
  • Review of Compliance related matters - ensure all regulatory requirements and internal controls are consistently met.
  • Manage technology - Oversee system access, setup, troubleshooting, and technology adoption across the branch.
  • Liaise across internal departments - Coordinate with internal RBC teams to resolve issues and streamline processes.
  • Execute the Branch Director's vision - Translate strategic goals into day-to-day operational excellence
  • HR administration - Oversee payroll, new employee onboarding, vacation/absence management, recruitment, Coaching, Registrations (CIRO, Insurance, PC USA), employee recognition, performance management, etc.
  • Recruit, lead and develop staff - assist in the recruitment and training of new branch support staff and coordinate ongoing professional development for existing team members.
  • Cultivate an environment that supports employee engagement and strong cross-functional collaboration

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) certification
  • Prior experience in the securities/banking industry
  • Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Professional demeanor that fosters a positive working environment
  • Self-directed problem-solving ability; comfortable working independently

Nice-to-have
