Job description

Description:

Summary Description:

BQC Foundry is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Accounting Specialist to take ownership of critical accounting and financial functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is not an entry-level or support-only accounting role. We are looking for a proven professional who can independently manage core accounting processes, maintain financial accuracy, support ownership with meaningful reporting, and help drive operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial analysis. This individual must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable working with large amounts of data, and capable of identifying errors, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

This position requires someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform at a high level with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accounting Specialist will oversee daily accounting operations and ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company procedures. This role will manage accounts payable functions including invoice review, coding, approvals, vendor maintenance, payment processing, reconciliations, and annual 1099 reporting.

This position will also manage accounts receivable responsibilities including customer invoicing, cash application, account reconciliations, collections, dispute resolution, and monitoring aging reports to improve cash flow.

Payroll processing is a key responsibility of this role. The selected candidate must be capable of processing payroll accurately, reviewing time and attendance records, handling deductions and adjustments, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

The Senior Accounting Specialist will be heavily involved in month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, financial schedules, and supporting internal financial reporting. This individual must be comfortable reviewing account activity, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues independently.

This role will also support banking and cash management functions including daily transaction posting, bank reconciliations, cash monitoring, and assisting leadership with short-term cash flow visibility.

In addition, the candidate will be expected to analyze accounting and operational data, prepare reports for ownership, identify trends, improve processes, and help strengthen internal controls. Experience in inventory, manufacturing costs, or industrial accounting is highly valuable.

Qualifications & Skills
