Provide temporary onsite controls systems support to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of refinery DCS, SIS, and PLC systems, with primary focus on Siemens S7 PLC platforms and the H2 unit.

Required Qualifications


  • Experience with Siemens S7 PLC systems
  • Experience supporting refinery or industrial DCS/SIS/PLC environments

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems
  • Familiarity with process safety and Management of Change (MOC) processes

Responsibilities


  • Maintain and support DCS systems, including system health, history modules, and database integrity
  • Perform server patching, reboots, and system load management
  • Support graphics, alarms, point configuration, and backups
  • Support Siemens S7 PLC systems, including logic troubleshooting, updates, and basic configuration changes
  • Support Allen-Bradley PLC systems
  • Support SIS systems, including annual testing coordination, lifecycle support, and inventory management
  • Participate in FAT activities and basic logic validation
  • Support routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot and support third-party devices, including Woodward and Trisen
  • Maintain and troubleshoot data transfer logic and non-control integrations
  • Maintain control system network integrity
  • Support IP address governance for DCS, SIS, and PLC systems
  • Support servers and application nodes, including reboots
  • Support thin clients and wireless I/O
  • Generate and maintain alarm metrics and PARR reports
  • Configure and support system alerts
  • Execute work in alignment with MOC requirements, including alarm limit changes
  • Support control system upgrades, obsolescence management, and reliability improvements
  • Execute minor control system changes, including basic control implementations such as pumps and MOVs
  • Perform functional testing and validation
  • Provide on-call support as required
