Job description

BPG is seeking a knowledgeable and team-oriented Registered Land Surveyor to support our telecommunications drafting and project teams. This position will assist with reviewing, interpreting, and preparing legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, plats, title documents, and other land-related records used in telecommunications projects.

The ideal candidate enjoys working collaboratively, communicates clearly, and is willing to assist wherever needed to help projects move forward. This is a great opportunity for an experienced survey professional who wants to apply their expertise in a supportive, office-based team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, review, and prepare legal descriptions and other land documents.
  • Assist drafters with questions involving easements, rights-of-way, boundaries, plats, deeds, title documents, and survey information.
  • Review drawings and supporting documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify discrepancies or missing information and help the project team determine appropriate next steps.
  • Provide professional surveying guidance to drafting, permitting, and project teams.
  • Coordinate with internal team members and outside parties as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
  • Assist with other project and team needs as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active Arizona registration as a Land Surveyor, or the ability to obtain Arizona registration promptly.
  • Experience reading and writing legal descriptions.
  • Strong knowledge of easements, rights-of-way, plats, deeds, title documents, and other land records.
  • Ability to interpret survey information and clearly explain findings to drafters and other team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-focused attitude and willingness to assist in areas outside regular responsibilities when needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting telecommunications, utilities, engineering, permitting, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience reviewing CAD drawings or working directly with drafting teams.
  • Familiarity with Arizona land-surveying requirements and practices.
