Job description

Entity:
Gas & Low Carbon Energy
Job Family Group:
Procurement & Supply Chain Management Group
Job Description:
About Archaea
bp is committed to investing in lower carbon energy so we can meet our ambition to reach net zero by 2050. And while we're still mostly in oil and gas today, bioenergy is one of our five transition growth engines and a key focus to help us support the global energy transition.
Archaea Energy, a bp company, is a leader in landfill gas to energy and the largest renewable natural gas (RNG) producer in the US. With big ambitions, we specialize in the development, construction and operation of RNG, landfill-gas-to-electric and dairy digester facilities. The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline.
About the role
We are seeking a Regional Procurement Manager to oversee procurement operations across multiple sites within the region. In this role, you will lead procurement and expediting activities, ensure that all purchasing aligns with financial, operational, and compliance requirements, manage after-hours and emergency ordering support, and manage operational spare parts procurement. You will be a key partner to our regional and site operations teams-helping them secure the materials and services they need, on time and on budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who thrives in a dynamic, multi-site environment, enjoys building strong partnerships, and is passionate about operational excellence.
Key accountabilities
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities including expediting for regional sites, including purchase orders, supplier onboarding, and invoice resolution.
  • Manage after-hours and emergency ordering support efforts.
  • Manage operational spare parts procurement program.
  • Ensure purchasing accuracy, timely fulfillment, and compliance with approval workflows.
  • Partner with site leaders to understand local operational needs and priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, contract requirements, and risk standards.
  • Support internal audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation across procurement workflows.
  • Act as the primary procurement liaison for operations, finance, logistics, and delivery management.
  • Report on regional procurement performance, savings, risks, and supplier metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the procurement experience.

Essential education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.

Essential experience
  • 5+ years of procurement experience, ideally in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement systems (Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and process discipline.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities
  • Effective communicator and influencer
  • Results-oriented and process-driven
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable criteria
  • Experience in purchasing, warehousing, logistics, field services, or manufacturing.
  • Background in category management or operational procurement.
  • Experience with process improvement or procurement automation.
