Job description

La Gran Plaza Shopping Center is currently seeking diligent and responsible Day Cleaners to join our team. As a day cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our mall, ensuring a pleasant and welcoming environment for our customers and tenants.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization in the retail industry. At La Gran Plaza you will be a part of a diverse and culturally filled atmosphere.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the mall, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, corridors, and common areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials in designated areas.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of entranceways, windows, and glass surfaces.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.
  • Follow established safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance, and directions as needed.

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge and Education:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successfully pass a pre-employment screening.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
