Box office ticket sales refer to the process of selling tickets to events such as movies, concerts, theater shows, and sports games directly to customers, usually at the venue or through official ticketing platforms. The term 'box office' originally described the physical location where tickets were sold, but now it can also include online sales. Box office staff are responsible for processing transactions, answering customer inquiries, and sometimes handling will-call or ticket pick-ups. These sales are often used as a measure of an event’s popularity and financial success.
