Job description

Eastern Shore Lanes & The Island – Spanish Fort, AL

Eastern Shore Lanes & The Island is seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Go-Kart Technician / Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.

This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining and repairing our electric go-karts, attractions, bowling equipment, and other mechanical and facility systems. Will work closely with our Facility Manager. We are looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, can diagnose problems, and takes pride in keeping equipment safe and operational.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electric go-karts
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine safety inspections
  • Repair and maintain bowling and entertainment equipment
  • Assist with general building and facility maintenance
  • Troubleshoot motors, wiring, switches, sensors, batteries, chargers, and other electrical/mechanical components
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and make timely repairs
  • Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance areas in an organized manner
  • Document repairs and preventive maintenance as needed
  • Follow all company safety procedures
  • Work with management to identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions

Qualifications

  • Previous mechanical, maintenance, automotive, electrical, industrial, or equipment-repair experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Dependable, responsible, and able to follow through on assigned work
  • Willingness to learn specialized equipment
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed

Experience with electric go-karts, bowling equipment, amusement equipment, is a plus but not required for the right mechanically skilled candidate.

We are willing to train someone who has a strong mechanical background, good work ethic, and the ability to learn.
