Job description

Looking for an experienced Boutique Retail Store Manager. Candidate must have a keen eye for

visual brand aesthetic and visual fashion merchandising. Ability to multi-task efficiently is a

must. In a Small Business we do everything from running the store, to inventory/stock, to

Instagram and website work.

You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is passionate about local,

independent brands and has an understanding of a small business. This position emphasizes

building lasting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities:

• As our Assistant Manager, you will work directly under the supervision of our Store

Manager, helping to ensure the store operates smoothly and efficiently

• You will assist in the implementation of operational processes that attract and retain

customers while driving sales

• Facilitating and supervising daily operations

• Managing employees

• Communicating with our Designers + Vendors

• Work one on one with Customers to assist them in their shopping experience

• Ensure inventory is properly stocked and displayed to maximize sales

• Prepare and present reports on sales and inventory levels

• Merchandizing and Styling in store Displays

• Develop and implement procedures to optimize sales and workplace efficiency

• Provide excellent customer service and sales support

• Deliver the highest level of customer service by welcoming customers into the store,

assisting customers with clothing selection, ensuring that fitting rooms are ready for

customers by promptly clearing out merchandise and returning it to the sales floor,

processing transactions accurately and with a sense of urgency

• Maintain expert-level product knowledge by familiarizing yourself with store inventory

• Communicate customer questions, concerns, and/or feedback to the team in an

appropriate time frame

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in fashion retail company. Small Business or Corporate.

(a background in Fashion Merchandizing or Management is a plus)

• Solid understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service to drive

sales

• Excellent team building and leadership skills

• Ability to meet and exceed sales goals

• Familiarity with Shopfiy Web and POS

• Proficient in Google Docs/Word and Excel 

• An upbeat, outgoing, and engaging personality - able to initiate conversation and build

report with the customers to identify their shopping needs

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work at least one day during the weekend as part of the schedule

• Experience in Clothing Boutiques

• This role requires open availability to work 4-5 days (30-40 hours) a week, including at

least one weekend shift and potential holiday hours.
