Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:ย ย 

The part-time Sales Associate reports directly to the Bookstore Coordinator on the Waxahachie Campus.ย  This position will assist the Bookstore Coordinator in the day to day operations of the College Store.ย 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ย 

  • General retail duties.
  • Check out customers.
  • Assist customers in finding items in the store.
  • Pull books for customers.
  • Fulfill online orders.
  • Check in merchandise.
  • Assist with deliveries.
  • Tag merchandise.
  • Stock the floor.
  • Clean, size and straighten racks.
  • Change out displays
  • Take out trash.
  • Work special events like graduation, football games, community, and other outside events.
  • Prepare and work inventories.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Previous retail experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
  • Busy working environment with numerous interruptions.

SALARY:ย  $9.00 per hour / up to 19 hours per week
