Marion Goodwill Industries is looking for a Bookstore Sales Associate to help process, organize, merchandise, and sell donated books while creating a welcoming shopping experience. This role combines behind-the-scenes processing, sales floor merchandising, and cashier responsibilities to keep our bookstore organized, stocked, and customer-focused.


No bookstore experience is required—we'll provide the training you need to succeed.


The Opportunity

As a Bookstore Sales Associate, you'll help transform donated books into an organized shopping experience. From sorting and pricing books to stocking shelves, assisting customers, and operating the register, you'll play an important role in creating a bookstore customers enjoy visiting while supporting Goodwill's mission.


What You’ll Do

  • Sort, inspect, and organize donated books for resale

  • Price books using established pricing guidelines

  • Stock, organize, and replenish bookstore shelves and displays

  • Operate the cash register and accurately process customer purchases

  • Deliver friendly, helpful customer service to shoppers and donors

  • Assist customers with locating books and answering questions

  • Safely move books and merchandise throughout the store using pallet jacks and carts

  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor displays

  • Help meet daily production and merchandising goals

  • Follow all safety, security, and operational procedures
