Bookkeeping can be done manually or with accounting software, depending on the size and needs of the business.

What qualifications do you need to be a bookkeeper?

To become a bookkeeper, a high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, and many employers prefer candidates with postsecondary education or certification in bookkeeping or accounting. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Bookkeeper, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Bookkeeper, you need a solid understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and a background in finance or business, often supported by a certificate or associate degree in bookkeeping or accounting.
