Job description

McAuliffe Paper, Inc. is a specialized paper coating and converting company serving the label industry through specialized manufacturing capabilities and a strong focus on process consistency, product quality, and operational reliability. With a long history in the industry, the company develops processes and coatings that support dependable production and high standards across its operations.

In this role, you will contribute to the work of the Polymerization and Coatings Department, supporting the processes that help maintain product quality and operational consistency. This position is well suited to someone who is comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing setting and who takes pride in accuracy, documentation, and following established process controls.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical duties within the Polymerization and Coatings Department.
  • Complete tests, measurements, operations, documentation, and process controls.
  • Perform the job duties of various Products Polymerization Processes.
  • Perform the job duties of various Coating Products Formulation Processes.
  • Perform the job duties of various Coating Products Pre-Mixes Formulation Processes.
  • Assist the Supervisor in the storage and organization of raw material and product inventory.
  • Assist the Supervisor with monthly and yearly raw material and product inventory counts.
  • Clean and maintain the Coatings Department work area and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

1-2 years of hands-on manufacturing or process-operator experience.

         Good oral and written communication skills.

         High level of attention to detail.

         Basic math skills.

         Treat all coworkers with dignity and respect.

         Solid organizational skills.

         Maintain and exhibit a positive attitude towards work and work environment.

 Preferred Experience:

Experience with polymerization, coating of water formulation.

Equipment Listing: (Machines, Tools & Software):

Basic personal computer skills that include the ability to send and receive email messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing, bookkeeping, and data entry.

Experience operating shop-floor tools and equipment, including micrometers and gages, power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and pallet jacks.

Available to work 10 hour shifts.

Moderate Lifting: Able to perform moderate lifting, including up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Close mental and visual attention required to perform technical work using a computer terminal and appropriate software programs.

Production Environment:

Able to work in a manufacturing environment with temperature changes, high noise levels, and moving equipment.

Safety Equipment:

Able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes, gloves, and hearing protection.
