Job Summary:
NEOGOV is seeking a Performing Live Program Manager to oversee the booking, management, and settlement of all Performing Live events at the Mesa Arts Center. This role involves managing the Performing Live calendar and budget, ensuring high-quality programming, and fostering partnerships with artists and promoters.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข oversees the booking, contracting, management, and settlement of all Performing Live events at the Mesa Arts Center (MAC)
โ€ข manages the Performing Live calendar, budget, and oversees a variety of live events that include music, comedy, theater, dance, fine arts, and co-presentations in a multi-venue municipal environment
โ€ข responsible for achieving established annual fiscal and programmatic goals
โ€ข delivering high-quality, relevant programming to a diverse community
โ€ข booking a diverse pool of artists
โ€ข creating exceptional guest experiences
โ€ข maximizing attendance and earned revenue
โ€ข managing key industry relationships
โ€ข establishing and maintaining partnerships with performers and promotors
โ€ข managing revenue, budgeting, and services for Performance Live

โ€ข providing guidance and support
โ€ข ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures
โ€ข oversees the Performance Live revenue and expense budget to ensure fiscal accountability
โ€ข performs related duties as required
โ€ข exercises considerable discretion and judgment in analyzing and resolving complex and/or sensitive inquiries or complaints referred by staff
โ€ข works with the Deputy Director - Arts and Culture to facilitate solutions
โ€ข may work irregular hours, evenings, weekends, and may be required to travel
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts Administration, Philanthropy, Art Education, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Hospitality, or a closely related field.
โ€ข Considerable (3 - 5 years) progressively responsible experience in the organization and management of performing arts programs, including direct performance bookings.
โ€ข One year of supervisory experience.
โ€ข Must possess a valid Class D Arizona Driverโ€™s License by hire or promotion date.
Preferred:
โ€ข A background in concert promotion, performing arts, artistic presentation, or managing an arts program is highly desirable.
