Job description

Company Overview
Patagonia Health Inc. is a healthcare SaaS company providing a federally certified, integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management (PM), and Billing software designed to meet the needs of public health departments and behavioral health organizations. The company's mission is to solve two major barriers to EHR adoption, usability and cost, and address customers' number one problem: billing. Patagonia Health's highly-intelligent solution uses sophisticated technology that is extremely easy-to-use and provides timely data for organizations to improve workflow, streamline their operations, and take their organizations to the next level.
Patagonia Health is a small, dynamic company with a customer footprint across the United States. As a member of the Sales & Marketing team, you will play a vital role in our continued growth, as well as in maintaining our market leadership position with public health departments.
Position: Marketing Associate
This individual will report to the Marketing Manager and join a lean, three-person marketing team. Because the team is small, this is a generalist role: the person in this seat needs to move comfortably across content writing, graphic design, SEO, web, email, social, webinars, and events, rather than specializing narrowly in one channel. Strong writing and design skills are especially important, since this person will be relied on to produce a large share of our content and visual assets directly. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role - it does not include supervisory responsibilities - and the person hired will help the company continue to grow its visibility, leads, and market reach.
Job Location: Cary, NC (Hybrid - Mon, Tues, Thurs in office, Wed & Fri remote)
Full-Time Position
Core Responsibilities Include:
  • Write, edit, and publish B2B marketing content across formats, including blog posts, email campaigns, social media posts, ebooks, sales flyers, and case studies
  • Design graphics for ads, flyers, infographics, and other sales and marketing collateral, working within our established Adobe InDesign and Canva templates
  • Conduct customer interviews for case studies, testimonials, and similar content
  • Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to content and web pages to improve organic visibility and search rankings
  • Create, edit, and optimize web pages (HubSpot CMS) for SEO, usability, and conversion
  • Manage email marketing and CRM programs (ActiveCampaign or similar), including list segmentation, tagging, and building automated drip/nurture campaigns
  • Support Salesforce lead management, including reviewing, editing, and adding new leads as they come in
  • Schedule, post, and engage on social media channels (Agorapulse), and monitor channel performance
  • Plan, host, and follow up on webinars (Zoom), including registration, reporting, and lead capture
  • Coordinate conference and event logistics, including scheduling, registration, and ordering marketing/event supplies
  • Pull and analyze performance reports across social media, website, and email campaigns; summarize takeaways and recommendations
  • Assist with light video editing and creation for marketing and social content (Descript)
  • Conduct market, competitor, and audience research to identify content opportunities and support expansion into new market segments
  • Collaborate with sales, subject matter experts, and leadership to gather input and approvals on marketing materials
  • Support the execution of department- and company-wide marketing projects and initiatives
  • Flex across whichever of the above needs the most attention in a given week - this role is built for someone who can pick up any hat on a small team, not just one specialty

Job Requirements:
  • A strong, versatile content writer, comfortable producing blogs, emails, social posts, ebooks, sales flyers, case studies, and web copy
  • Comfortable conducting customer interviews for case studies, testimonials, and similar content
  • Solid graphic design skills, comfortable working within established Canva and Adobe InDesign templates to produce ads, flyers, infographics, and sales collateral
  • Hands-on SEO experience, including keyword research and site audits using tools such as Ahrefs or SEMrush, and writing/optimizing content for search
  • Solid working knowledge of email marketing/CRM logic (ActiveCampaign or similar), including audience segmentation, tagging, and list management; deep automation-building expertise is not required, but you should be able to quickly get up to speed on our existing ActiveCampaign-to-Salesforce lead integration, including field mapping and auto-tagging that triggers drip campaigns
  • A generalist mindset - comfortable doing a bit of everything on a small team rather than specializing narrowly in one channel

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-4 years of B2B marketing experience in an agency or in-house setting; experience in B2B tech, healthcare IT, or EHR marketing strongly preferred
  • Experience creating, editing, and optimizing web pages, ideally in HubSpot or a similar CMS
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM for lead management is a plus
  • Experience pulling and interpreting performance reports from social media, website, and email platforms
  • Comfortable hosting webinars and coordinating events or conferences
  • Experience with paid advertising/PPC campaigns (including LinkedIn Ads) is a plus, though not currently a core need
  • Experience with video editing/creation (Descript or similar) is a plus, but not required
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for content and research support is a plus
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-paced marketing team

Tools & Platforms We Use:
SEMrush, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Adobe InDesign, Descript, Canva, Salesforce, Agorapulse, Claude, ChatGPT, Zoom, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
To Apply: Please include a link to your portfolio, or attach 3-5 work samples that best represent your range (ideally one written piece - blog, case study, or email - and one design piece - flyer, infographic, or ebook page).
Compensation: Commensurate with knowledge and experience
