This is a new area of our store and it's a fun and great opportunity to be part of something new. You will be part of the amazing team we have at this newly remodeled Deseret Book store! In the Sweet Retreat we will be selling the famous BYU Creamery Ice Cream. If you enjoy working with other energetic team members and like the thought of making people happy as you sell them treats this is the job for you!

The Deseret Book Store in Cottonwood Heights, Utah is excited to announce an opening for associates in the Sweet Retreat - featuring BYU Creamery Ice Cream! We are looking for candidates who will:

  • Cheerfully and eagerly assist customers
  • Monitor food supplies in a timely manner
  • Keep the Sweet Retreat clean and organized
  • Maintain a high standard of excellence

**This position requires flexible availability on days, evenings, and Saturdays**

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Ability to interact with customers in-person on a day-to-day basis is an essential function of this position
  • Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and Saturdays, as well as holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Basic cashiering skills
  • Basic janitorial duties
  • Food handler's permit required or ability to acquire one
