This position will require you to be in the Greater Cleveland, OH Area
We are presently in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH

The Content Programming Specialist's responsibilities include providing key support for Marketplace merchandising, programming, and curation, and assists with the execution of consumer-facing content marketing. The Content Programming Specialist supports marketing and sales campaigns and tracks data analytics and performance metrics to maximize OverDrive's sales and market share. This role works across OverDrive teams and content partners on content sales programs, opportunities, and promotions.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Content Partnership team to obtain and organize information relevant to content sales, including pricing, lending models, special terms, discounts, and participation in promotions.
  • Assist with curation of promotional collections and themed collections in Marketplace and for partner and consumer-facing content campaigns.
  • Organize, tag, and update content on-platform to enhance merchandising potential and maximize title performance.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of content partner catalogs through research from industry sources (e.g., Publishers Weekly) and interactions with content suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of school and library partner needs through engagement with Sales and Digital Content Librarian teams.
  • Retrieve performance metrics as requested using provided tools. Prepare and provide internal reports on individual and campaign activities.
  • Assist with the content-related data needs of other teams as directed.
  • Interact with publishers to develop an understanding of their catalogs, collaborate on merchandising opportunities, and support promotional initiatives.
  • Support strong content partner relationships through tailored, focused, and consistent engagement.
  • Contribute to the development, management, and maintenance of assigned team documentation and information resources in collaboration with team leadership.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years of related experience (library, marketing, book merchandising, retail, etc.).
  • Merchandising, promotions, and marketing experience.
  • Basic knowledge of the book, publishing, entertainment, library, music, and digital media industries.
  • Confident and energetic; professional and team-oriented.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage cross-functional relationships with other OverDrive teams and content partners.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with partner contacts, outside vendors/contractors, and internal staff.
