Legal Administrative Assistant – Litigation / Landlord-Tenant Practice
Potomac, MD | Fully On-Site
$70,000–$100,000 + Comprehensive Benefits


A well-established law firm in Montgomery County is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy litigation practice with a focus on landlord-tenant matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing high-level support to attorneys and clients.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in state and federal courts throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, court deadlines, hearing dates, and case-related reminders.
  • Draft, revise, and manage legal correspondence, pleadings, and template documents.
  • Coordinate hearings, meetings, and appointments with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and other parties regarding case matters.
  • Assist attorneys and accounting staff with billing and invoicing inquiries.
  • Organize and maintain electronic files and case documentation.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal administrative, legal secretary, or litigation support experience.
  • Strong experience with state and federal court e-filing in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures, legal terminology, and court rules.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including direct client interaction.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word.
  • Experience with document management systems; iManage experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent legal support experience will be considered.
