Job description

Bonnie Brae currently has great career opportunities for Residential Youth Counselors on our Main Campus, located in Liberty Corner, New Jersey. These positions provide supervision, counseling and behavioral support of youth in residential treatment. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team consisting of psychiatric, clinical, medical and education professionals. This role assists in the development of individual treatment plans which guide the Residential Youth Counselor’s interactions with each resident. Responsibilities include leading resident group meetings, coordinating recreation activities and overseeing activities of daily living.

Available Shift is 3 PM – 11 PM, including weekends.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (all majors welcome) OR
  • High School Diploma with 1 year of experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health or similar setting.
  • Recreation experience a plus.

Salary and Benefits:

Average first year salary for a Residential Youth Counselor is $48,000.00/year to $60,000.00/year, with a starting hourly rate of $21.00/hour to $22.00/hour.
