Job description

Job Title: Retail Assistant

Time: Part Time Regular (up to 30 hrs/week), weekend availability required

Compensation: Training wage of $14/hr plus tips for first 90 days followed by regular wage of $15/hr plus tips

Location: Bon Bon Bon Ann Arbor, 5 Nickels Arcade, Ann Arbor, MI 48104

The primary responsibility of a Retail Assistant (aka Shopkeeper) is to fulfill orders at an extraordinary level of service, ensuring every customer interaction feels special and memorable for our guests. The Shopkeepers of each Bon Bon Bon location are expected to perform and be assessed upon the following: demonstration of our core values (51%) and job responsibilities (49%). Job Responsibilities amp; Expectations

All team members at Bon Bon Bon execute areas of their responsibility with innovation and enthusiasm, and consistently represent company values while interacting with fellow team members of Bon Bon Bon and the greater community alike. Job responsibilities amp; expectations related to this specific position include:

  • Deliver exceptional, informed, personal customer service to every guest of and within our organization to create customers for life.
  • Maintain inventory and organization of all items within the shop: Bons, Novelties, Swag, packaging materials, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge of all current products, accurately answer any questions regarding the products, and use existing systems/resources to problem solve before reaching out for additional support.
  • Be eager to continue learning about Bon Bon Bon products and experiences, sharing ideas through the proper platforms.
  • Answer shop phone calls and accurately communicate information with customers in a way that aligns with company standards, redirecting to other team members as needed by sharing clear messages.
  • Accurately, honestly, and effectively use reporting tools and Point of Sale system.
  • Perform all assigned daily, weekly, and monthly tasks at a high level.
  • Minimize waste of Bons and packaging.
  • Maintain and work with the rest of the Bon Bon Bon team to continually improve product quality standards and quality control.
  • Use existing tools/systems plus best judgment to resolve customer dissatisfaction as needed to change a negative customer experience into a positively memorable one.
  • Assist other departments company-wide as needed to ensure the overall success of the company.

  • Required: 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Required: Ability to work directly with the public, providing excellent customer service at all times, including handling/remedying any concerns of the customer

  • Required: Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
