This role is common in industries like construction, oil and gas, and manufacturing, where precision and adherence to engineering specifications are crucial. Workers use specialized torque tools, such as hydraulic or pneumatic wrenches, to apply the correct force. Proper bolt torqueing prevents failures, leaks, or structural issues in critical systems.

What does a bolt torque do?

As a Bolt Torque professional, your daily tasks primarily involve accurately tightening bolts and fasteners to specified torque settings using hand or power tools. You will often read technical drawings or work orders, verify measurements, and document completed work for quality assurance and compliance. Collaboration with other assembly or maintenance team members is common to ensure that structural and safety standards are met throughout the process. Attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures are integral parts of the role, as even minor errors can impact product integrity.
