Job description

As a Material Planner I, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless flow of materials throughout the product lifecycle. This entry-level position will allow you to gain experience in material planning, supply chain management, and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with various teams to meet production and delivery schedules, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and issue detailed maintenance work packages, task cards, and job routings for scheduled inspections (A/B/C/D checks), unscheduled repairs, and modifications.
  • Forecast and plan long-range maintenance requirements based on aircraft utilization, maintenance program intervals, and regulatory directives (ADs/SBs).
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Materials/Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance to ensure parts, tooling, and technical data are available prior to work execution.
  • Maintain and update maintenance tracking systems to reflect current aircraft status and upcoming requirements.
  • Analyze maintenance program data to identify trends, optimize task packaging, and support planned maintenance and modification requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and company/customer maintenance directives.
  • Participate in maintenance program reviews, reliability meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and present maintenance forecasts, capacity plans, and status reports to leadership.
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections by ensuring accurate and complete maintenance records/documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Aviation maintenance planning or similar experience.
  • Awareness of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance programs.
  • Awareness of maintenance tracking and MRO software systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and other technical documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of study.
  • Experience with Boeing 747-8 maintenance activities.
  • A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) certification.
  • Prior experience in a Part 145 repair station or airline maintenance planning environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Requires standing for a significant portion of the work shift.
  • Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Must be able to work in an office or hybrid environment.
