Job description

Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior)

The Boeing Guidance Repair Center is looking for a Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to work at the Heath, Ohio location.

The team is looking for an engineer to join their innovative and high-performing software team to maintain the guidance systems for the intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM.

This engineering position will be responsible for the design, development, test, and sustainment of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical products and test equipment/software in support of theU.S. Strategic Deterrence Systems(U.S. Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, U.S. Air Force & U.S. Navy Guidance Systems and other military programs). In addition, this role will review test data, direct repairs, develop process improvements, capture process changes, and solve problems with new workloads and part obsolescence.

Heath, Ohio hosts many Air Force metrology organizations, including Bionetics and Bayer Material Science. Heath is located approximately 30 miles east of Columbus, OH, home of The Ohio State University. This location has a small-town American feel with all the modern conveniences, from food to theatre, to concerts and festivals! In addition, the area offers many outdoor activities, including ten beautiful parks and picnic areas, walking trails, hiking, hunting, fishing,phenomenal golf courses, a top-notch community water park, many acres of preserved green space, and much more!

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior Level Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to development and deployment of automated test equipment for lab and factory automation, including data processing and control algorithm development
  • Work in small agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills
  • Use your talents to tackle complex problems on a variety of programs
  • Responsible for developing technical products, plans, documentation, and briefings supporting program requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to Obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of programming experience
  • 4+ years' experience programming in C, C++ or Ada
  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience incorporating modifications to legacy test equipment systems that have limited documentation
  • Experience programming in C#
  • Experience with Networking and Database
  • Experience programming in Labview
  • Experience with Microsoft Programming
  • Experience with Data Analytics
