Job description

Electrical Test Engineer (Associate)

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Associate Electrical Test Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, AL. We design, sustain, and upgrade next generation electronics concepts, and we support production and special test equipment design for increasing capacity requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support automated test equipment design, engineering documentation; and hardware fabrication, integration, and validation testing.
  • Develop, document, and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements according to customer desires and contract requirements.
  • Develop test plans and test procedures.
  • Review and apply real-time test anomaly troubleshooting and resolution of issues encountered during hardware validation testing and verification testing.
  • Support design and production to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Assist suppliers when fabricating test equipment to engineering drawings.

This position is expected to be fully onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to receive a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
  • 1+ years of related experience, minimum.
  • Experience setting up equipment and performing tests on various products and assemblies using manual, semi-automatic, or automated test devices.
  • Hands-on lab experience with power electronics testing or analog electronics testing or test methodology.
  • Ability to travel domestically at least 10% of the time.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, Python.
  • Experience with National Instrument's Lab-View and Test-Stand software.
  • Experience with Unigraphics, Creo or other drafting CAD tools.
  • Experience developing test procedure and test process documentation
  • Experience utilizing lab electronic testing tools (Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Function Generators, ...)
  • Active Secret or higher security clearance.
