MS&B Labs Experienced Electrical Design Engineer

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization has an exciting opportunity for a MS&B Labs Experienced Electrical Design Engineer in support of the MS&B program's Mission Systems Lab Integration team in Tukwila, WA or Kent, WA.

The MS&B Mission Systems, Labs, and Electronic Products team is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative professional to support the development, integration, test, and sustainment of advanced mission systems and electronic products. This team works on a broad portfolio of airborne platforms and mission capabilities, delivering reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions that enable operational success across mobility, surveillance, and bomber aircraft.

This role contributes to engineering and program execution efforts across mission systems, laboratory environments, and electronic product development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and capable of working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design test systems and integration laboratories.

  • Develop, maintain, and release interface control drawings, electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs, or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry, and governmental standards.

  • Create, develop, and maintain systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs, and assisting in identifying design discrepancies.

  • Design test equipment, cables, and setups.

  • Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.

  • Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer.

  • Plan and execute qualification test programs for military, commercial, and space programs.

  • Provide verification requirements identification and decomposition; interpret environmental and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) requirements and specify appropriate test methods for military, commercial, space environments, and different platforms (aircraft, ground vehicles, satellites, ships).

  • Provide qualification test plans and test procedures.

  • Perform test execution, interpret test results, and create test reports.

  • Have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Manage outside test services providers including qualifications, capabilities, and procurement of these services.

  • Support engineering system design and functionality validation activities.

  • Perform electrical and electronic modifications to wiring and tactical hardware as well as hardware replacement and maintenance held within un-configured systems integration laboratories (SILs).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

  • 5+ years of experience with design, integration, and/or test of electrical systems.

  • Willing to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Capital Logic and/or Cameo (MSOSA) design tools.

  • ENOVIA and CATIA experience.

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance.

  • Proactive communication skillset.

  • Ability to work both independently and with a cross-functional team.

  • Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive.
