Grand Island Motor Company is seeking an experienced, driven, and results-oriented Body Shop Manager to lead our growing collision repair center. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven collision center leader who is passionate about operational excellence, customer satisfaction, team development, and profitability.

As the Body Shop Manager, you will oversee all aspects of collision center operations, including production, estimating, technician performance, customer service, insurance relations, quality control, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong collision repair knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering a first-class customer experience.

  Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily operations of the collision center, including production scheduling, workflow management, and repair quality
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop body shop technicians, estimators, painters, and support staff
  • Monitor repair cycle times, technician productivity, efficiency, and overall shop performance
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications, OEM repair procedures, and safety standards
  • Review, approve, and manage repair estimates, supplements, and final invoices
  • Work closely with insurance companies, adjusters, vendors, and customers throughout the repair process
  • Drive departmental profitability through labor management, parts utilization, expense control, and process improvement
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and promptly resolve customer concerns
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including gross profit, cycle time, CSI scores, and technician efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer requirements, OSHA regulations, and workplace safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional collision center environment
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining top collision repair talent
  • Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Body Shop Manager, Collision Center Manager, Production Manager, or Collision Repair Manager required
  • Strong knowledge of collision repair operations, body shop production, estimating, refinishing, and vehicle repair processes
  • Experience with CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex, or other collision estimating software preferred
  • Proven leadership experience managing technicians, estimators, painters, and support staff
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims, DRP relationships, supplements, and repair procedures
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, production metrics, and departmental performance
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume collision repair environment
