Position Summary

The Concession Runner is responsible for delivering beer kegs, liquor, wine and soda supplies to the appropriate concession stands or bars with attention to accuracy and organization. The Bar Runner will troubleshoot problems with soda and beer dispensing equipment and inform management if additional maintenance is required. The Bar/Concession Runner will assist with general distribution duties in addition to their specific responsibilities. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00 per CBA).

Benefits as per the union agreement.

About the Venue

Atlantic City Convention Center & Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall is a multi-purpose facility located on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk and features the 141,000-square-foot main arena with a capacity of 14,770 seats as well as the 23,100-square-foot Adrian Phillips Theater with a capacity of 3,200. Constructed in 1929 as the country's original convention center, Boardwalk Hall has dazzled guests and residents of Atlantic City.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot any problems that arise with soda or beer dispensing equipment.
  • Responsible for stocking bag in the box soda to concession stands and premix to concession portables.
  • Responsible for setting up and stocking all stands, bars and portable locations. Attention to detail including company standards of inventory control, sanitation, presentation and quality is required at all times.
  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on bar/concession equipment as requested and able.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all bar/concession stands by removing all trash and recyclables.
  • Responsible for rotating food products during the stocking process to ensure the freshest products are being served to guests.
  • Responsible to upkeep of the warehouse including sweeping, mopping, organizing storage areas and cleaning commissary equipment.
  • Required to be familiar with all food, beverage and paper product supplies at the facility.
  • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license.
