Business Loan Administration Manager (Bismarck, ND)

BNC National Bank in Bismarck, ND is seeking an experienced Business Loan Administration Manager to lead our business/commercial & agricultural loan administration function.  This role is responsible for managing and developing loan administration staff, overseeing pre- and post-closing activities, and ensuring all commercial loan documentation is complete, accurate, compliant, and properly filed. 

This role serves as the primary reviewer and approver of loan administration work, establishes and maintains departmental procedures, and acts as a subject matter expert for complex commercial loan structures, documentation questions, and operational guidance. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and develop Business Loan Administration staff
  • Oversee all commercial pre-closing and post-closing loan functions, including documentation and processes
  • Ensure commercial loan files meet internal policy, regulatory, and audit standards
  • Review and approve loan payments, advances, payoffs, and letters of credit, as applicable
  • Ensure legal documentation is properly recorded and maintained
  • Conduct quality control reviews and resolve documentation deficiencies
  • Develop and maintain department procedures and workflows
  • Serve as subject matter expert for complex commercial loans and documentation questions
  • Support audits and examinations related to commercial & agricultural loan administration

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of advanced commercial & agricultural loan administration, commercial lending, or quality control experience
  • Prior supervisory or managerial experience required
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, closing, and servicing
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
