The Service Technician diagnoses, repairs and maintains BMW vehicles in accordance with BMW Factory and BMW Center standards. This position promotes BMW standards for superior workmanship.

•           Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance   with BMW Factory and BMW Center Standards

•           Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction, and recommend/perform appropriate repairs.

•           Examine vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Service Advisor.

•           Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance  with BMW Factory and BMW Center Standards

•           Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction, and recommend/perform appropriate repairs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

•           Advanced knowledge in BMW electrical systems (i.e. coding, programming, bus   systems) of both older and newer model vehicles.

•           Working knowledge of BMW DC/TC list and ability to implement it effectively without  fault.

•           Knowledge of BMW SIB's and expert knowledge of DealerSpeed online portal

•           Ability to diagnose and repair any type of cooling system issue.

•           Must be able to diagnose and repair most mechanical engine issues.

•           Perform diagnostic review and repair most issue without extended assistance.

•           Ability to perform very basic service on vehicles, mount and balance tires; ability to perform wheel alignments on all vehicles

•           All licenses required to perform repairs and New York State inspections must be up-to- date.

•           Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste.

•           Meet all requirements of state and federal law dealing with automobile repair and consumer protection.
