Job description

Job Title: Feature Team Lead

Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJ

Salary: $195,769.34- $201,300.00/ year. 

Duties: Provide project management and business analyst services for assigned technical products, applications or projects, within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model. Execute operations topics and the Agile scrum master role by managing the delivery of assigned projects while utilizing BMW ITPM processes to direct the execution of IT related projects and contribute accordingly as senior member of feature teams. Coordinate business, IT and provider resources to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient projects and execute appropriate ITPM and technical delivery tasks, activities and deliverables as necessary to ensure project success. Deliver business analysis services for products by building a strong understanding of the assigned business processes, functions, roles and rules, as well as the technical applications. Own the functional and technical solution of the initiatives being delivered by collaborating with the Business to elicit requirements, define acceptance criteria, and maintain a prioritized product backlog. Create user stories to the level of granularity required by the team and clarify inconsistencies and resolve issues to bridge the gap between user expectations and the delivered product. Guide technical team members on the implementation of coding and configuration, reviewing relevant work results, and in smaller feature teams, perform coding and configuration tasks by testing deliverables against a user story's acceptance criteria to validate that the delivered product meets the business goals. Coordinate the Agile delivery process by leading the Agile team in the adoption and execution of Agile processes and planning and facilitating key Agile events including daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings. Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage the Product backlog, clear obstacles, and enable the efforts of the scrum team by supporting the ongoing operation of the supported products/applications. Plan and execute upgrades and replacements to ensure that hardware and software components remain supported by leveraging ITSM/ITIL processes to ensure ongoing stable operations and alignment with SLAs. Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days remote.

Requires: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience as a Feature Team Lead or related occupation leading technical execution of data-driven IT and software projects; 
    or, alternatively,
  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Feature Team Lead or related occupation leading technical execution of data-driven IT and software projects. 

Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated): 

  • Three (3) years of experience performing project and program management for enterprise cloud data and analytics platform implementations and leading data migrations;
  • Applying Agile practices to lead projects using Scrum or Kanban frameworks;
  • Designing and implementing ETL processes, data pipelines, and modeling techniques, and troubleshooting and optimizing workflows for efficient data processing and storage;
  • Managing and querying SQL/NoSQL databases (Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery) and designing data architectures (data lakes and lakehouses) for analytics and reporting;
  • Deploying and managing applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring GDPR/CCPA compliance with Big Data frameworks (Spark and Hadoop), and implementing data governance for secure, AI/ML-driven data handling;
  • Building and deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models using cloud AI services (AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, or Google AI Platform); and,
  • Utilizing programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, and BI tools (Tableau and Power BI).
